A few things to keep in mind about this project


“21-DAY LIVING FOODS REGIME”



The protocol for the cleanse is easy, and goes like this:



Week 1:  Enjoy eating organic, RAW foods such as vegetables, fruits, sprouts, nuts, and seeds. During this week, you can enjoy raw fish (if you so choose) such as Sashimi (no rice or rolls) and Ceviche/Cebiche.

Week 2: Enjoy consuming raw smoothies!

Week 3:  Enjoy drinking raw juices!


The few strict guidelines:   No cooked foods, no processed foods, no refined sugars, no alcohol, no caffeine, and no smoking!


There are no restrictions on how much raw food you can eat! 

Eat when you are hungry, stop eating when you are full.

Take time to connect and listen to your body.


The health benefits of following the protocol are to clean out all the build-up in the microvilli of your small intestine. Absorption is the key to getting nutrients in your system, and if your body is blocked-up and clogged, especially in the microvilli, chances are you will not be absorbing the nutrients into your system.


Week 1 of eating raw foods act like a 'Brillo Pad,' 'scrubbing off' the top layer of build-up. 


Week 2 of raw smoothies penetrate even further in between the microvilli and floods them with loads of nutrients. 

This is the week you should start to notice a lot more energy through-out your day.


Week 3 of raw juices penetrates the microvilli even further, removing plaques and any additional built-up food matter while saturating the system with powerful anti-oxidants for immediate absorption. This is the week that will start blowing your mind! Not only will you be less hungry (consuming at least five large glasses of raw, organic vegetable and fruit juices a day), your mental clarity, focus, and concentration will be astounding!!


Please don't forget to drink lots of purified/filtered water (with fresh lemon juice for some added alkalizing benefits)! 


Upon the conclusion of the 21-Day Living Foods, you will want to decide how to integrate raw foods into your daily/weekly/monthly routine to help ensure your system continues to get the biochemicals, flavonoids, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes it needs to sustain a healthy, vibrant, lifestyle.

THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT!


Again, this is not a DIET designed to help you lose weight! That's just a side benefit that many have had while on this cleanse. We hope that because you are going to directly see and experience how incredible you will feel by eating whole foods and cleansing your system, the changes you are going to experience during and after the cleanse may become a part of an over-all, long-term lifestyle change!!

A MESSAGE FROM PETRA


I am by no means a licensed dietitian or nutritionist. What I am is a researcher on nutrition, and I listen to countless people share their stories about their challenges with their health. I am here to offer support, encouragement, and multiple options from my own personal research and experience. I am not going to argue about what foods are healthier and should be consumed every day. I want you to listen to your body and your heart and make the choices that are right for you.


I became a Lacto Vegetarian when I was 16 years old.  I owned a Vegetarian Restaurant/Juice Bar and Healing Center and taught hundreds of classes on health and healing, and I am still teaching retreats. I am one of those people that can look at a cake and gain 5 pounds, and I have had to watch what I eat since I was five years old. I truly understand the trials and tribulations of weight loss challenges. 


Today I'm not a strict Vegan, Vegetarian, Keto-ist, Paleo-ist, or whatever labels are out there for a specific way of eating. I indulge in a glass (or two) of wine once, in a while, I allow myself to enjoy a small serving of fish and chips on rare occasions, and I savor the occasional slice of crusty, fresh-baked bread slathered with the house-made salted butter at our favorite restaurant. But I do this knowing exactly what it is going to do to my body and paying attention to what I may have to deal with the next day. But when it comes to cleansing, I am steadfast.

This is a fresh, raw, organic (if possible) whole food 21-DAY LIVING FOODS REGIME!! This is the time to put away all those diet tracking apps and stop counting all those calories. This is the time to give your body some much needed TLC! This is the time to flood your system with the most nutrient-dense, vibrantly colored, most powerful food on the planet.


This is not the time to eat or drink the products containing processed sugar in any form, canned or jarred products off supermarket shelves, alcohols, caffeine, bread, and dairy products (because raw milk, butter & eggs are not easy to find).

For the next 21 days....just 3 short weeks out of your life, this is an opportunity to do something that just might change your life (and your physique).

Being here lets me know that you have a desire to feel better and live a more healthy, vibrant life (and shed a few pounds). 


Because of that fact (yes, it's a fact or you wouldn't be reading this on a blog post for Petra’s 21-Day Living Foods Regime) I know that you can give up the things that you've relied upon to get you through the day, such as caffeine and sugar, or the things you think you need to eat at every meal such as breads, animal proteins, dairy products, and over-cooked, stripped-of-all-their-goodness vegetables.


I am very grateful, excited and (without being at all condescending) proud for you for choosing to join me,  and the other participants during this first presentation of this raw food cleanse.
